The 2022 version of the dance drama "Peacock" is directed by the renowned dance artist Yang Liping, and features an all-star cast including Oscar winner for "Best Art Direction," the famous visual artist Tim Yip, among others. The entire play gathers the essence of Yang Liping's dance art, representing a dance deity's ultimate inquiry into life. In 2022, the dance drama "Peacock" once again spread its wings and was reborn from the ashes. The national tour covered 12 locations with 50 performances, with every show selling out and the momentum unstoppable. In 2023, "Peacock" spanned 12 months, visited 39 cities, entered 41 theaters, brought shock and touch to more than 200,000 audiences, and a "Peacock Wind" swept across the country.
The play is divided into four chapters: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, telling a story about growth, humanity, life, and love, as well as the interconnection between life and nature. Through the form of stage art, it presents a kind exploration of the world and an inquiry into life and humanity, projecting a humanistic sentiment where life and art blend.
