Communications Manager
Marco Polo Plaza, Cebu
Responsibility
- Create, launch and implement a comprehensive, targeted, and sustainable Communications program that supports the goals of the hotel and the company.
- Enhance, maintain and develop close working relationships with regional and international media executives and journalists
- Ensure that the hotel obtain maximum exposure in local and international media
- Ensure that the hotel adhere to established advertising standards, collateral standards and Communications operational standards
- Source and co-ordinate feasible Communications activities, to include forging of strategic partnerships / co-branding opportunities; charity drives, etc.
- Disseminate appropriate information and press release to international media and concerned parties including Wharf Hotels Corporate Office
- Supervise and direct the Art Department.
- In co-operation with the Group Director of Marketing, prepare, submit and adhere to annual Marketing Plan
- Co-ordinate and direct all copywriting efforts done by or on behalf of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.
- Co-ordinate all Direct Mailing efforts for the hotel
- Provide creative input for all Public Relations and Advertising campaigns
- Co-ordinate and direct the production of all audio-visual presentations for Marco Plaza Cebu
- Develop and co-ordinate a comprehensive and targeted Corporate Social Responsibility program
- Create and execute web-based campaigns to expand awareness and optimize visibility and business potential from online communities
- Leverage social networking channels and establish a responsive presence on relevant blogs
- Oversee the development of an effective ecommerce marketing program
- Create and execute internal and external Communications strategies.
- Create collateral and marketing materials, i.e. newsletter, annual report, brochures, special event materials, electronic newsletter, etc.
- Write and distribute press releases to key media contacts
- Manage media relationships
- Keep current all available online information by writing and posting stories and photos in a timely manner
- Manage relationships with third party suppliers and freelance talents
- Manage communications calendar of activities and events
- Track and archive media clips
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Corporate Communications, Communication Arts, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalentExperience: Minimum 5 years’ experience leading Communications or Media campaigns for a service industry, preferably in Hospitality
International experience with a fast-paced, multifaceted organization preferred
Strengths: Excellent writing, editorial expertise, presentation and communication skills
Functional knowledge of online marketing management and graphics design advantage
