Digital Marketing Manager

Marco Polo Plaza, Cebu

Responsibility

  • Responsible for overall quality control (production and editorial content) of all printed matters distributed inside and outside of the hotel.
  • Update press kit contents at least twice-yearly basis, or when changes in the hotel or Wharf Hotels Management (Corporate Office) require such.
  • Maintain and keep on hand a minimum of 10 press kits for immediate distribution upon request.
  • Write and issue press releases about the hotel or obtain coverage for the hotel and / or group through other means of communication.
  • Conceptualize and implement general publicity and advertising campaign based on the RB&E promotion plans, room and image program, etc
  • Maintain contacts with local journalists and editors, foreign correspondents (when appropriate) and other representatives of the media to be aware of their needs and interests.  Provide them with news about activities of the hotel and / or group.
  • Maintain a file on all journalist contacts and a record of actual publicity results.
  • Handle tri-media relations, inclusive of local, national and international.
  • Handle media familiarization programs
  • Handle all media publicity and advertising requirements, inclusive of room and image, food and beverages promotions and in-house special events, in coordination with Events & Promotions Section, the appointed advertising agency and Manila based publicity consultant
  • Organize press conferences whenever necessary
  • Liaise with WHM Communications Department and Graphic Designer to ensure adherence to corporate image and any changes from corporate level in all collateral and advertising production.
  • Monitor competitors’ activities to gain overall awareness of local competition.  Relevant articles of interest to be brought to the attention of the General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Implement or assist community programs agreed in by the Executive Committee.
  • Participate in crisis management.
  • Develop, execute and deliver the company’s digital / online marketing strategy, planning and budget to include online, new media, web, e-commerce and SEO to drive the business forwards through key marketing channels.
  • Manage online branding, communications and campaigns through the company website, email marketing, building the online community, attracting new customers, search engine optimization, and search marketing
  • Review technologies and explore new developments in the digital landscape to find ways to more effectively deliver the communication and business objectives.
  • Managing all communications to drive leads and ensure through google analytics or similar studies, appropriate support to correct online promotions and offers
  • Improve the design, usability, content and conversion points of the hotel website and for the promotion and growth of the company online presence.
  • Work with the department heads of operations, sales and PR departments to plan and implement all online marketing campaigns including digital campaign collateral
  • Ensure the smooth running and completion of projects across site builds, online advertising, social media, maximizing online sales opportunities and search marketing
  • Update and keep a comprehensive library of both photos and transparencies.
  • Supervise the production and distribution of marketing collaterals i.e room and image promotion materials, banquet promotion materials, i.e brochures, flyers, fact sheet, website, billboards, etc
  • Monitor and control budgets related to work scope
  • Handle joint promotions regarding room & image with third parties such as credit card tie-ups and the like
  • Be present at VIP “Meet & Greet” at every opportunity, including Hotel hosted events, Social or Banquet functions that are media related or enhance media mileage/exposure for the Hotel or as may be assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing or the General Manager

Qualifications


Education:            Tertiary education, preferably with hotel school training.
 
Experience:          Minimum 5 years’ experience relevant to the job.
 
 
                              English and local dialect.
