Director of Sales and Marketing

Marco Polo Plaza, Cebu

Responsibility

  • Develop the annual Business Plan aligned with the hotel's strategic objectives.
  • Implement and manage strategies to achieve sales revenue targets and objectives.
  • Enhance the hotel's reputation locally and in key feeder markets.
  • Lead Sales, Events, Reservations, Communications, and Digital Marketing teams.
  • Oversee human resources functions, including staff selection, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure advertising materials and sales collaterals align with the hotel's brand identity.
  • Coordinate trade shows and sales trips to meet objectives.
  • Drive direct sales and manage commission costs effectively.
  • Support RB&E in improving overall marketing and sales revenue.
  • Maintain communication with WHM VP Sales & Marketing and Directors.
  • Foster relationships with airlines, travel agents, tourism boards, and the business community.
  • Handle ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: University graduate
  • Certification: Hotel management related
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years' relevant experience in Sales & Marketing at global luxury hotels, including 2 years at the Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) level. International experience is advantageous
