F&B Supervisor – (Chinese Restaurant)

Responsibility

Operational
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in efficiently managing the outlet per the established concept, ensuring courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times.
  • Maintain full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties in the assigned area.
  • Assign responsibilities to subordinates according to the multi-tasking principle and periodically assess performance.
  • Implement flexible scheduling based on business demands.
  • Ensure adherence to par stock levels for all equipment and supplies, maintaining adequate stock in the outlet.
  • Assist with monthly inventory checks of all operating equipment and supplies.
  • Control requisitioning, storage, and careful use of equipment and supplies.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings on preparation, service, and menu.
  • Coordinate daily operations and quality control with Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Stewarding teams.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all menu items and confidently recommend combinations and upsell alternatives.
  • Handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently, reporting complaints to supervisors if immediate resolution isn’t possible, and ensuring follow-up.
Guest Service
  • Ensure that all employees establish a rapport with guests. Handle all guest requests and inquiries on food, beverage and service.
  • To be demanding and critical when it comes to service standards in the daily operation.
  • To ensure that the restaurant team projects a warm, professional and welcome image.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Hotel & Restaurant Management, Administration, or any 4-year Business course
  • At least 3-5 years of hotel experience as a Restaurant Supervisor
  • Experience in a Chinese Restaurant is an advantage
  • Computer literate with strong MS Excel skills
  • Good communication skills
