Suzhou, China, – Niccolo Suzhou, has recently teamed up with KARL LAGERFELD, a fashion brand curated by the legendary fashion icon and world-renowned designer, to present a new themed afternoon tea from late March to June 2023. This collaboration pays tribute to the timeless and brings new inspiration to fashion, art and culture at the same time, through the creative interpretations of Lagerfeld’s wide range of work, allowing fashionistas and stylish leaders to embrace the spirit of the legend and experience the glamour of afternoon tea above the clouds at the Beacon of the Future.

The KARL LAGERFELD line was founded in 1984 in Paris, France. With a contemporary-chic approach and forward-looking spirit, Lagerfeld's iconic fashion perspective and design aesthetics were adored by many. The signature KARL LAGERFELD aesthetic combines Parisian classics with a rock-chic attitude and tailored silhouettes. Its portfolio of accessible, aspirational collections includes ready-to-wear fashions for women, men and kids, plus bags and small leather goods. Additional collections include watches, eyewear, footwear, perfumes, candles and fashion jewellery.

A tribute to the timeless, this iconic co-branding afternoon tea set at Niccolo Suzhou starts at CNY 688 per set. It includes five customised savoury snacks and six irresistible desserts, as well as the signature Yam Cake with Rose featured as the Chef’s special. Additionally, this afternoon tea set also includes scones, raspberry friands and a special Fish Maw Stew with Golden Chicken Stock for passing around. Guests can also enjoy Niccolo Caviar and two glasses of the signature Niccolo Prosecco or themed mocktails. During the collaboration, any guests who indulge in the co-branded afternoon tea set will be eligible to receive exclusive benefits from the KARL LAGERFELD brand, extending the pleasure of savouring a lavish tea experience at the hotel to the brands’ fashionable retail stores. The new themed afternoon tea draws inspiration from the brand’s classic black-and-white aesthetics. Niccolo Suzhou’s Executive Pastry Chef Laem Liu has artfully integrated KARL LAGERFELD's fashion aesthetics and design inspiration into his creations, adding Lagerfeld’s iconic sunglasses and the image of his beloved cat, Choupette, to make the dessert look cool and stylish. The soft aroma of Saint James Gateau, Lemon Meringue Tart, Osmanthus Berries Tart, Chocolate Café Opera Cake and the signature ISPAHAN Rose and Framboise Lychee will tantalise dessert lovers. The mouth-watering savoury collection, which also incorporates luxurious ingredients, and the chef’s special pass-around Yam Cake with Rose will please the most discerning palates. The venue will also feature a live-cooking performance by the chef, as he showcases the fresh making of Fish Maw Stew with Golden Chicken Stock, which has an intense, rich aroma and is full of nutrients.
