The Murray, Hong Kong Celebrates the New Year with Twinings British Sensation Afternoon Tea
The sensual journey begins with a welcome treat – Truffle Mushroom Orangery of Lady Grey Tea Quiche. The mini quiche made with egg and truffle mushroom is infused with Lady Grey Tea, TWININGS’ favourite classic scented with orange, lemon and bergamot flavours.
The collection of exquisite sweet treats includes a Strawberry & Mango Infusion Mousse in the shades of pink, carrying complementary flavours of Strawberry and Mango filled in a silky mousse. The London Strand Earl Grey Tea Ganache Chocolate Cake is a take on the classic ganache, with aromas of bergamot, citrus and lemon from the well-known earl grey tea and chocolate ganache are intertwining with each other. In the Peach & Passion Fruit Infusion Dome, the luscious cream cheese is infused with TWININGS’ Peach & Passionfruit Herbal Tea and topped with a layer of homemade peach jelly to offer a natural tangy fruity notes that will surely tantalise the taste buds. Relish in the aromatic scent of Sencha from the Pure Sencha Green Tea Cheese Cake, which balances off the creamy texture from the cheese cake.
The series of savoury delights include the Turkey and Cheddar Cheese Sandwich with Golden Tipped English Breakfast Tea Jam, this traditional sandwich is adorned with a homemade jam made with English Breakfast Tea, apple purée and juice that highlights the smoky flavours from the turkey and cheese, which pairs perfectly with a sip of tea. The Rose Garden Black Tea Smoked Salmon Vol Au Vent presents a burst of rose flavours as the smoked salmon and salmon roes are soaked in the Rose Black tea overnight which offers an astonishing tasting note. Caramelized Onion Tartlet with Crunchy Mixed Nut and Truffle combines the aroma of roasted nuts and fresh crushed truffle in a crunchy tartlet for a rich flavourful sensation. The Tortilla Bresaola Beef Spinach Chestnut Roll with Amur Caviar makes a delectable and fulfilling delicacy, garnished with luxurious caviar for an elegant touch.
The “Twinings British Sensation” Afternoon Tea also comes with Strawberry Scones, guests can enjoy them to their liking with the trio of Strawberry Jam, Lemon Curd and Clotted Cream as well as pairing with their own choice of TWININGS’ Platinum Range teas.
