German Cuisine
The highlight of the Halloween Bierfest is a special menu curated by Chef Mike Ng. Guests can look forward to German snacks, sausages, pork knuckles and mouth-watering desserts. To kick-start the feast, guests can try the soft pretzel (three pieces for HK$78; five pieces for HK$118) or the salad platter (HK$118) featuring German potato salad, orange carrot salad and apple cabbage salad. Also recommended is the mushroom vol-au-vent (HK$118), a delightful appetiser of mushroom ragout in puff pastry.
Main courses include a selection of German sausages, including pan-fried Nürnberger sausages with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, grilled Thuringer sausages with beer-braised onion and potato salad, or a trio of Munich white, käsekrainer and chicken-mushroom sausages served with potato salad (HK$178 each). Guests may also opt for the roast herb-marinated half chicken (HK$218) or the beef goulash (HK$228). The roast pork knuckle (HK$258) with sauerkraut and potatoes is another classic German dish that is not to be missed.
No German meal is complete without dessert, and guests can savour the apple strudel with vanilla sauce, indulge in the decadent layers of chocolate and cherries with the black forest cake or experience the velvety smooth German cheesecake with forest berry compote (HK$118 each).
Beers and cocktails
For drinks, guests can quench their thirst with the rich and full-bodied German Löwenbräu beer (HK$75) or indulge in the Halloween spirit with two bewitching cocktails (HK$98 each) crafted by Be on Canton’s Bar Manager, Pocholo Viado. Shirley's Kiss, for example, is a captivating blend of Beefeater gin, Aperol, lemon juice, honey and egg white, garnished with rosemary sprigs. For an enchanting elixir, Shirley's Love Potion casts a mesmerising spell with its mixture of Olmeca tequila, Aperol, grapefruit juice, orange juice, strawberry syrup and a dash of orange bitters.
Live music
Be on Canton’s al fresco dining terrace features live jazz performances every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6:45pm to 10pm. Guests are encouraged to put on their spookiest attire for a night of fun and fright.
